This package is the alternative to using typical boxes and tins. The stitching detail shows how the package is "weaved" together, just like the flavors. The flavors of the teas are expressed through the colors of the package. The most prominent flavor is the richest color, while the sub-flavor is the trim, and the type of tea is the background color. Another element added to the design is the material to construct the package, linen paper, allowing a stronger tie to the weaving element.
This was a special project to redesign Lamy's special edition Safari fountain pen. It was designed for a special reveal where when the consumer takes out the box, they find the special edition fountain pen. Designed with Lamy's unique simplicity in mind.

This cover series is about the reveal. Each of the books have a theme of skin and texture that is memorable to the reader after it is revealed. At first glance, the reader sees that there is something underneath. Once opened, the skin is revealed.

Every fairy tale and fantasy story are suspected to be completely happy stories, but that is not the case. In these book covers, highlighted are specific moments of dread and sorrow. Alice: one of the first moments where she finds something wrong with herself, Sleeping Beauty: when the dark fairy summons rows of thorns that swallow the castle, and Red Riding Hood: having to travel through the dark forest by herself. The peaking colors from the book itself is to show that while there is sorrow and dread in these tales, there is still elements of joy in them. That is why the colors are specifically lighter tones.
